Who We Are
Herbalife Nutrition Foundation
Created in 1994 by Herbalife Founder Mark Hughes (1956-2000), the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF) is a global non-profit foundation dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world by helping provide access to good nutrition. Millions of children in developing countries and around the world suffer from malnutrition. We envision a world where every child has equal access to healthy nutrition. We fund grants to charitable organizations that give vulnerable children the nutrition they need to reach their full potential. Additionally, HNF often supports relief efforts in response to catastrophic natural disasters around the world.
Twenty years ago, HNF started out as a single program in Brazil. Today, we provide millions of dollars in funding each year to more than 160 orphanages, hospitals, schools, and organizations in over 50 countries. We believe that good nutrition is about more than just having enough food to eat—our Casa Herbalife Nutrition Program provide children with the nourishment, care, and nutrition education they need to thrive today and spread their wings tomorrow.
How We Help
Casa Herbalife Nutrition Program
How does Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF) provide good nutrition to children around the world? Meet our Casa Herbalife Nutrition Program.
In 1998, Herbalife founder Mark Hughes built an orphanage in Brazil, named Casa Herbalife Nutrition. Today we provide millions of dollars in funding to more than 160 orphanages, hospitals, schools, and organizations in more than 50 countries and serve nearly 100,000 children every year.
Good nutrition is essential for every child. 66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world. Chronic under nutrition in early life is linked to reduced schooling, poorer cognitive skills, lower earnings and a higher likelihood of living in poverty. The Casa Herbalife Nutrition Program aims to improve the lives of children in need by partnering with existing charities to provide healthy meals and nutrition education to children around the world.
We believe that good nutrition means more than just providing food for hungry kids. Our Casa Herbalife Nutrition Program provides children with the nourishment, care, and nutrition education they need to thrive today and spread their wings tomorrow.
Our Casa Herbalife Nutrition funds go toward food subsidies, nutrition education, and other projects to improve the health of children across the globe. Check out the infographic below to to learn more about how these funds are used.
